The idea I had for this was that the black stuff is nightmares and the butterflies are hopes and dreams. This creature (a wolverine) has a lantern that sucks in the nightmares. He usually leaves butterflies in the houses of people who have particularly bad nightmares to help them have hope about their situation. He doesn't know where the butterflies come from, but there are always a few around him and if he is in an area full of hope they will flock around him for a few moments to give him hope in his never ending adventure to rid the world of nightmares.

However like all of my adoptables you are free to change whatever you'd like. You can display this image off of DA but please do not upload it elsewhere. Please do not edit this image.
